Julia Rivera has created a name for herself through art restoration, apart from her repairs she is a talented and multifaceted artist. She was born in the Bronx in 1965, but since then has done an enormous amount of studying and exhibiting across the globe. She has permanent collections in Texas, Madrid, and Paris, among other parts of the world.

She attended Escuela de Artes Plásticas in Puerto Rico, received her MA in 17th-century painting and restoration at the Studio Arts College International, Florence, Italy. Later, participated in a study trip at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, France. Then, studied sculpture at The Art Students League of New York and returned for additional education, which Rivera then completed at the School of Plastic Arts in San Juan with a bachelor's degree in Art Education.

The plastic production of Julia Rivera is characterized by capturing that framework that evokes her passion for the human being. Rather than placing ourselves in front of work, when approaching her paintings, we approach fundamentally an original attitude that consists in having cultivated the gift of painting and innovation, transgressing against the movements of life.
