Aurelio Posada

Aurelio Posada is an Architect and oil painter based in Orlando, Florida. Born, and raised in Colombia, Aurelio always had a special interest in art. Over the last few years producing over 200 oil paintings, many of them reflecting his passion for architecture.

Always interested in drawing, perspective, and space, he attended several art and drawing classes in addition to the architecture program at the Pontificia Bolivariana University in his hometown. His pieces have a distinct sharp definition of shapes, and a sense of place and scale, as well as a bold palette of colors. These paintings have a strong influence of the Modern Masters’ work, his own trajectory as an Architect, and his cultural background and formation in Latin America and Spain.

Posada has had many private commissioned works over the past years in Florida, Spain and Colombia. He has participated in several art exhibitions for the AIA Orlando Foundation for Architecture: in 2019 won First Place of the show with the piece The Red Shed, in 2020 won Second Place of the show with the piece Toro de Lidia, in 2021 won First Place of the show with the piece White Horse, White Tower.

Architecture and art go hand in hand in Aurelio’s life and work. They complement and inform each other, and have become a single intellectual line of thought.
