DEENA MARIE KING

Deena Marie King is an American expressionist artist whose work embodies the richness, complexity, and depth of the human experience. Born and raised in a small town in western Kansas, her German heritage and strong family roots instilled a deep sense of resilience and creativity that continue to shape her artistic voice. 

King earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with an emphasis on painting from Fort Hays State University, a dual foundation that gave her both technical precision and conceptual freedom. Her career began in the field of graphic design, yet her passion for fine art was never far from the surface. Ultimately reigniting and propelling her toward a career that bridges design and expressionist painting.

Her artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally, earning recognition for its conceptual strength and emotive power. Defined by layered textures, bold mark-making, and a balance between intuition and design, her practice explores the interplay of memory, transformation, and the layered narratives that shape the human condition.
